A Whopping 33Mb!

It looks as though Lex’s Comment, might be right! It turns out that Touchstone might soon completely evaporate. Thanks to Google and a few Windows API websites I have discovered a nifty little way to address the memory consumption concerns that many of our alpha tester’s have raised.

As the above screenshot shows, I cut the memory footprint by a little over 90%. That’s right 90%!

I know this seems like an otherwise pointless blog entry, but my ulterior motive is to demonstrate our dedication to active response to feedback given to us by our testers. In case your not already aware, emailing chris@touchstonegadget.com is what you need to do if you want to play with the alpha, now 90% fat free! Well…next update anyway.

Holly Crap! That's awsome.

It's weird when I get development updates via the blog haha. Well done Ash - We have been trying to crack this for a while!

My first comment on a blog....ever (Vol.III)

I was wondering what you guys were up to, and now I know. I just formatted my hard drive and once again am running Touchstone to distract me like crazy so I NEVER get any work done. Now to add some more RSS's. Woo Hoo!

I wonder, can you build in something that prevents Touchstone from running unless my essays are finished!?

Good evening Ian - Get back to your assignments! hah

Nice to know we brought you out of hiding in regard to blog comments. Hopefully there is no going back for you.

It's funny you mention turning off or suppressing Touchstone actually - we have recently come up with an idea for 'Idle' - for when users step away from the PC. Something that would catch alerts and wait until a user is ready to receive them.

Actually that just gave me a good idea for a new blog post - I will have to write one.

As for assignments - we will see what we can do for you ;)
